I am 10 weeks pregnant today! And weighed 158.8lbs this morning
My back is feeling a bit better today and the cramping isn’t as bad. Im guessing my insides and the baby are going through a growth spurt. I look bigger too, so I guess that’s where all of this discomfort has come from. Tonight I ran a couple of miles. Im really really slow.
At ten weeks pregnant my baby is classified as a fetus rather than an embryo and he or she is about 1-1.5 inches long from crown to bum and weighs about 4 grams. Even at this tiny size my baby is practicing swallowing and kicking up a storm even though I cant feel it yet. His or her fingernails should be developing around this time too! All of his or her vital organs are already completely formed and working! That is absolutly amazing! Right now though the baby’s head is disproportionally big to the rest of his or her body but in the coming months everything catches up and looks more baby like. From here on in the developments while amazing aren’t completely shocking as the development that has happend so far. Its astounding to think this little baby, who looks much like a baby now started as a couple of cells, which soon looked much like a tad pole, and then sort of an alien/tadpole and now a baby.
