WOW, almost half way there already!
Right now baby is a good 6 inches long and weighs 5-6 ounces. Baby is yawning, drinking, urinating and stretching already! Hair has also begun to sprout so your little one already has the beginnings of eyebrows, eyelashes and head hair! The hair on the head that’s growing now could be drastically different colored than baby’s permanent color. My oldest son came out with tons of long dark almost black curly hair. He now has medium brown wavy hair. Shortly after birth he started losing all his dark curls. Now my uterus is about the size of a cantaloupe, and boy do I feel it!! Baby’s placenta is also completely formed now.
If you haven’t felt your baby yet it should be very very soon! Don’t be too concerned if you aren’t feeling much now, the baby’s placenta could be attached at the front of your uterus and that could be making it harder for you to feel their movements. Its completely FINE and no cause for concern. It just means it might be harder for you to feel the movements and it might take longer for people to feel the baby from the outside.
