When I was seeing an obstetrician booking a diagnostic ultrasound was a breeze. After my 16 week appointment I was told to make an ultrasound appointment for between 18 and 20 weeks and the people at appointments would squeeze you in where ever they could and that was your appointment. Well since I am not getting a diagnostic ultrasound I went hunting for a place that gives ‘fun’ ultrasounds. I don’t feel the need to get a diagnostic ultrasound because I have little to no risk factors as far as having a baby with any issues that could be seen on an ultrasound. Im very healthy and lead a healthy lifestyle. So I started calling around for a fun ultrasound. I ran into several problems. First of all was my husbands work. He works six days a week and only gets Sundays off. So I began calling around, there is nothing local so my closest place was 100 miles away in Las Vegas. No one was open on Sundays. Oh man, that was SO disappointing! So I called my top place back and asked about Monday appointments. Many places werent even open on Mondays but Sneak Peek in Las Vegas was open Monday August 13th, even though Mondays they generally arent open! I booked their latest appointment, 4pm in hopes my husband can get of early and we can all get up there together! In less than one week we will find out the gender of this baby! After all those phone calls its nice to have an appointment set up and waiting for me. I will be 18 weeks pregnant so the gender should definatly be easy to see!
