Im 11 weeks 6 days pregnant and weighed 159.6lbs this morning.
It was a huge rush to get out the door and get to las Vegas for my apt. But the appointment went well. I felt like I really clicked with this midwife, she spent an entire hour with us discussing her history and mine, and talking about what to expect. She gave me a folder of information, one paper had a little reading list, I was happy to see I actually owned many of the books she recommended already. I think I will ask for a couple of the others from my family for my birthday or Christmas gifts. The one that tops my list is actually a text book called Human Labor and Birth .
After we spoke for a while it was time to try to find a heart beat, it only took a moment with a Doppler. It was wonderful to hear!! 174bpm. Nice and strong! My blood pressure was also nice and low 117/64 or something to that affect and my heart rate was in the 60’s which is normal for me. My blood pressure has always been high in pregnancy- I mostly think its because doctors wig me out. I was very relaxed with my midwife and am really excited to have her as my care provider!
